Yeah, it’s past Oct. 10, but I just couldn’t help myself ^^
This new ONScripter-EN release (onscripter-en-20101010) is mostly bugfixes and code cleanup, but the OS X build also includes some awesome Mac Help that Roto put together. Uncle will be sure to integrate that support into other builds once she figures out Windows Help programming…
As always, share and enjoy!
Believe it or not, here’s a new ONScripter-EN release (onscripter-en-20100915).
There’s a number of noteworthy changes this time around, covering a number of recent Bug Reports, and also including a major new feature: error dialog boxes on Windows and Mac. Now when onscripter-en encounters an error, it’ll pop up a message box telling you about it, instead of just exiting quietly! Amazing!
…Actually, if the program has a segfault, it could still crash without an error message; but hey, improvements are improvements. Either way, feel free to let me know if you have issues.
Do note that this version is somewhat beta, so it’s probably best not to use it for a game release until we’ve made sure of its stability.
So I went & got a new domain for the Corner: unclemion.com
I’ve already updated all the internal links on this site, making sure that any onscripter.denpa.mobi or svn.denpa.mobi urls out there would still get where they need to go. You can also use www.unclemion.com to get here, though I may turn that into a more general site for all my projects at some point.
As you may have noticed already, we’ve reconfigured the site for nicer-looking permalinks, but the old page-/post-number urls should redirect properly. Definitely let me know if something’s broken.
I’ll be making some more WordPress tweaks to improve the user interface and adding some more helpful content, so stay tuned! (Yes, yes, there will be a new release coming along too… along with bugfixes ^^; )
Update: I fixed the recaptcha on the comments form (oops…)
Update 2: I’ve added registration capability. Those of you who’ve found that your comments don’t show up until much later (due to them getting caught in my spam filter) may have an easier time of it now, though I can’t be sure that the filter will be less picky for registered users…
The Onscripter Corner is in the process of moving to a new server, so don’t be surprised if links are broken for the time being.
Update: Everything seems to have gone fine in the move, but don’t hesitate to warn me about broken links.
Oh, by the way, cool thing: the subversion repositories are now web-accessible, so you can browse them via html links, like so: latest onscripter release.
After more time than I would have liked, here’s a new ONScripter-EN release (onscripter-en-20100518).
I’ve made some small bugfixes for issues noted on the Bug Reports page, and also added some command-line options for older-ONScripter compatibility, mainly for al|together novels (which I should have up on the Compatibility page shortly).
This release was also included with the latest Witch Hunt Umineko Episode 1-4 patch ^^
I wouldn’t normally make a new ONScripter-EN release (onscripter-en-20100309) so soon after the last one, but this one has a nice fix that removes the enormously long startup time for the Umineko games, so it seemed worth releasing right away.
Once again, here’s an ONScripter-EN release (onscripter-en-20100307), this time with a number of bugfixes, optimizations, and plugged memory leaks, as well as a few more compilation/configure options – check the changelog for details.
There are also some compatibility fixes for a few novels in the al|together festival series, which I started testing after some prompting on the Bug Reporting page.
And lo, a new PONScripter release approaches on the horizon… but I must leave you in suspense for now. Back to it!
The ONScripter Corner had to make a sudden move to a new host, and it looks like comments aren’t working at the moment. We’ll try to have the problem corrected soon.
Update: It’s fixed! But apparently I’m not getting notification emails about comments, so please excuse me if I haven’t responded yet…
Update II: Email notification is fixed now!
Here’s another ONScripter-EN release (onscripter-en-20100221) with embedded “ons-en” icon for Windows, a few minor features, and some bugfixes, like for Japanese filename handling on Vista/Windows 7. Back to PONScripter!
Just made a new bugfix release for ONScripter-EN (onscripter-en-20100130) to correct a problem with creating new save files, which was introduced in the last release (oops).
